Bulk Orders
Santa Cruz METRO is proud to support our community partners and businesses by offering bulk rate discounts on select fare products. Whether you're purchasing for employees, clients, or a large group, we make it easy and cost-effective to buy in bulk. Discounts are available for 1-Day and 31-Day Adult passes, with savings starting at quantities as low as 12.
Eligible Pass Types & Discount Rates
1-Day Pass, $6 regular
- 100+ passes: 20%
31-Day Pass, $65 standard
- 12-50 passes: 10%
- 51-100 passes: 15%
- 101+ passes: 20%
All other fare types may be purchased in bulk quantities, too! Please note: Customer Service Booths only sell quantities up to 50 passes at any time.
*Discounts apply only to full-fare, adult passes. Other fare types do not currently qualify.*
How to Place a Bulk Order

Include the following:
- Your name, address, phone, email, and business/organization
- Pass type(s) and quantity
- Desired pickup date (Please allow at least 5 business days for processing. Smaller orders may be processed quicker.)
- Preferred payment method (cash, check, or credit card)
- A METRO team member will respond with:

*pickup from Watsonville Transit Center is available, if arranged at time of order.
Payment: Due at time of pickup (check, card, or cash)
Please do not pay from the digital invoice.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Certain bulk orders may be eligible for shipping, for an added fee. Please include this in your initial request for review, if desired.

Fares and passes/tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable.

Check Cashing Policy
- You may write a check at the Customer Service Information Booth for the purchase of bus passes only
- Your check must be local to the Santa Cruz METRO service area, including counties that are contiguous to Santa Cruz County
- You must also present a valid California Driver’s license or legal photo ID when writing a check
- There is a $15.00 service charge on all returned checks

Credit Cards Accepted
- Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted for the purchase of bus passes only
- Please have legal photo ID available when using this method of payment
METRO Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) HAVE BEEN RETIRED ON December 20, 2023
After 1/4/24 tickets & passes can be purchased with a Credit Card online at scmetro.org or by downloading our METRO Splash Pass app available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Tickets can also be purchased at our two Transit Centers, in Santa Cruz or Watsonville, or when boarding. Please note only cash is accepted and exact change is required when purchasing at time of boarding.

Pass and Transfer Details
- NOTICE: Clipper Cards are NOT honored.
- Santa Cruz METRO Local Day Passes (Day, 3-Day, 7-Day, 31-Day)
- Allow unlimited rides on Local Santa Cruz County routes (excluding Amtrak/Highway 17 Express )
- Amtrak/Highway 17 Express Service
- Day Passes (Day, 31-Day)
- Allow unlimited rides on ALL Santa Cruz METRO routes and Local VTA Services
- Highway 17 Express 1-Ride and 15-Ride Pass NOT honored on any VTA Service.
- Amtrak through-tickets to or from Santa Cruz are honored
- VTA Light Rail Transfers are issued by request ONLY with Highway 17 Express Cruz Pass
- UCSC student ID cards and other types of UCSC bus passes are NOT honored on Amtrak/Highway 17 Express Service
- Cabrillo College student ID cards are NOT honored on Amtrak/Highway 17 Express Service
