19 - UCSC via West Gate - Lower Bay

Hagar Dr Closed 6/19-8/29

Beginning June 19, 2025, through August 29, 2025, Hagar Drive will be closed to all traffic. METRO buses will not serve any stops along Hagar Drive during this time. All service will detour via Coolidge Drive in both directions. Please plan accordingly. Track your bus at https://rt.scmetro.org or download the Transit App.

Summer Service Change eff. 6/19!

Route 19 Summer Service (eff. 6/19/25): UCSC Loop trips will run every 30 minutes during peak hours. A shorter variant, 19B, will operate at the same 30-minute frequency, serving Bay Dr & High St at the base of campus. 19B will run from River Front Transit Center to Bay & High before returning as Route 18, with riders permitted to remain onboard. Bay & Seaside (inbound to downtown) Stop ID 1224 has been discontinued. Trip departure and arrival times have been adjusted along the route to accommodate this change.

Route 19 – UCSC via West Gate – Western

ROUTE CHANGE SCHEDULE CHANGE

Weekdays/Weekends: UCSC loop trips will run at 30-minute peak frequency rather than 15 minutes. A variant of the route will run to Bay Dr & High St at the base of campus, also at 30-minute peak frequency. This shorter variant (noted as “19B” on headsigns) will run from River Front Transit Center to Bay & High, then return to River Front Transit Center as Route 18. Riders are permitted to stay onboard to ride Route 18. Similarly, Route 18 trips will start at River Front and end at Bay & High, then return as Route 19. Bay & Seaside (inbound to downtown) Stop ID 1224 has been discontinued. Trip departure and arrival times have been adjusted along the route.
