Highway 17 Express - VTA Day Passes
Effective Date s: Jan 01 2016 - Nov 30 -0001
As of January 1, 2016 the Valley Transit Authority (VTA) will no longer issue paper Day Passes. All VTA Passes will be on a Clipper Card. Due to this change and METRO’s inability to read Clipper, METRO WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO PROVIDE UPGRADES WITH VTA PASSES ON HWY 17. Full fare will be required by all passengers on Hwy 17 routes.Read More
METRO will have a grace period of 2 weeks from January 1, 2016 at which time passengers requesting upgrades, will receive the discount but need to be informed of the change and that beginning January 15, 2016 they will be required to pay the full fare for a HWY 17 Day Pass. If a valid VTA paper Day Pass is presented after January 1, 2016, it will be honored for an upgrade, due to the fact that many organizations have purchased them in bulk and in advance.
There are no changes to METRO’s HWY 17 Day Pass arrangement with VTA. HWY 17 Day Passes will still be valid on VTA buses.
